This FOUNDATIONAL level badge is equivalent to a 3-credit, master's level course. Earning a grade of B or better is required for this badge.

1. Successfully apply database design principles, including E-R diagrams and database normalization, to classify and solve generally stated problems. 2. Effectively construct simple and moderately advanced database queries using Structured Query Language (SQL). 3. Demonstrate a basic understanding of related database facilities, such as indexing, query processing and security. 4.
