Badge Description

The Research-Based Teaching, Learning & Assessment badge extends the learner's knowledge, understanding and application of theories of child development and the teaching-learning-assessment process. It offers the opportunity to carefully consider and apply the findings of educational, psychological and brain-based research and theory. A semester-long application project of one subject of the learner’s choice helps the learner thoughtfully apply the results of research and theory to their teaching practice and analyze data to identify changes in the subject’s academic or social behavior. The resultant findings and action plan is presented at the end of the course.
