The Teaching of Numbers and Algebraic Reasoning in Elementary and Middle School badge is an in-depth study of the teaching of numbers, operations and algebraic thinking in elementary and middle schools. Learners will focus on how students learn numbers, operations and algebraic thinking as well as ways to assess students’ knowledge of these content areas. The course also covers some of the difficulties students have with these content areas and ways that they can support students to overcome these difficulties.

Badge Criteria

This FOUNDATIONAL level badge is equivalent to a 3-credit, master’s-level course. A final grade of B or better is required to earn this badge.
